Bear Creek Regional Park

Among the Rocky Mountain foothills of the Pikes Peak region, Bear Creek Regional Park supports a variety of plants including scrub oak, yucca, mountain mahogany, native grasses, and brilliant wildflowers in season. Prominent wildlife include mule deer, coyotes, black bears, red-tailed hawks, and peregrine falcons. Scrub oak thickets, cottonwood riparian areas, ponderosa pine forests, native grasslands, and interesting geological formations give this park its varied character. Location: From Interstate 25, exit 141; west on Highway 24 (Cimarron) to 21st Street; south on 21st Street to West Rio Grande Ave. for Bear Creek Park East or to Argus for Bear Creek Terrace. Facilities: Ten miles of multipurpose, non motorized trails wind through the park. Trails can be accessed from many locations in the park including the 21st Street trailhead parking lot, the picnic pavilions and the Bear Creek Nature Center. Cave of the Winds
A Hidden World Beneath Our Feet!
Explore this ancient cave in three distinct levels of intensity and enjoy a laser show that will leave you in awe. Enjoy its beautiful location in the canyon and take advantage of the unique shopping opportunities. Admission varies for each tour but the classic discovery tour is $16.00 and $8.00 for children ages 6-15. Cave of the Winds is located 6 miles West of I-25 and directly off of Highway 24.

Iron Springs Chateau Melodrama Dinner Theater

This lovely old place, full of antiques and owned and operated by a trio of actors, has seen 42 consecutive years of talented players and enthusiastic theater-goers. Dinner arrival is between 6 and 6:45 pm. At 7:30pm the theater opens for seating. All seats are reserved. The show begins at 8pm. For more than 39 years, the Iron Springs Melodrama Dinner Theater has provided the Pikes Peak region with an evening of hilarious comedy and quality entertainment. The evening begins with a family style dinner with the melodrama immediately following (audience participation is strongly encouraged). After the melodrama, a foot-stomping sing-along and vaudeville olio full of song, dance and comedy continues the fun throughout the evening. Manitou Cliff Dwellings
Enter the World of the Anasazi!
These preserved dwellings of the Anasazi provide you an opportunity to travel back and discover how they lived, where, and why. A protective overhang saved these cliff dwellings for over 700 years. There is also a three-story museum about the Anasazi and a southwestern gift shop. Admission is $8.50 for adults 12 and over and $6.50 for children 7-11. The dwelligns are located just off of Highway 24 right outside of Manitou Springs.

Miramont Castle
a.k.a. Manitou Springs Historical Society Museum
Constructed in 1895 as a private home, the Miramont Castle is dedicated to preserving the Victorian heritage of Manitou Springs and the Pikes Peak Region. The Castle is conveniently located in the heart of Manitou Springs. Admission is $6.00 for Adults 16 and over and $2.00 for children. Miramont Castle is located at 9 Capitol hill Avenue in Manitou.
North Slope Recreation Area Regional Park

Pikes Peak Toll Road off HWY 24 W. in Cascade. Visitors Center. Three reservoirs on north slope of Pikes Peak. No swimming by humans and pets. Recreational opportunities: bank fishing, non-gasoline powered boating, belly boating, mountain biking, hiking, jogging, picnicking and scenic drive. Closed on July 4. 2,267 acres.

Pikes Peak Auto Hill Climb Educational Museum
Experience the "Race to the Clouds!"
Come discover everything there is to know about the second oldest racing event in America. The race up Pikes Peak is one of the most treacherous in motorsports with 156 turns and 5000 feet in elevation change. The museum features numerous vehicles that have been driven in the race, motorcycles, and interactive exhibits. There is also a gift shop for all your PPIHC paraphernalia. The museum is located at 135 Manitou Avenue at Midland Expressway. Admission is $4.00 for adults over 12 and free for children.

The Auditorium of Colorado Springs
This truly breathtaking entertainment venue houses the El Pomar Great Hall which is the main auditorium of the Pikes Peak Center. With three levels and the ability to accomadate 2,000 people, the Pikes Peak Center is a spectacle to behold. Pikes Peak Cog Railway
An Unforgettable Trip to the Top of America's Mountain!
Millions of passengers have been carried to the top of Pikes Peak on the unique cog railway. The enjoyable, hour-long ride will take you through many of Colorado's life zones and when you reach the top you will be able to see for hundreds of miles. You may also see some of Pikes Peak's animal inhabitants. Also, grab a bite to eat at the depot where lunch can be purchased. The trip costs $28.00 for adults and $16.00 for children ages 3-12. Red Rock Canyon Open Space and Regional Park

3615 W. High St. (Ridge Rd and Hwy-24; turn south onto Ridge Rd. from Hwy-24 just west of Hwy-24 and S. 31st. St.). Gravel parking lot. Portable toilets. Over 3 miles of developed trails currently. Dog off-leash trail area. 786.3 acres.
World Arena
Southern Colorado's Premier Entertainment Venue!
Come see one of the over 200 shows at this non-profit and awesome spectacle. The World Arena seats 9,400 and features Olympic and NHL size ice sheets. The Colorado College Tigers hockey team plays at the World Arena. You will find a great entertainment venue that is great for concerts and sports alike. World Arena is also open daily for public skating sessions. Times and prices vary. The arena is located at 3185 Venetucci Blvd just off of S. Circle.
